James is listed as being in the US Army on their marriage license (despite being underage), so I doubt he graduated high school either, but he is listed in the 1960 Anniston High School yearbook as a sophomore (pg 49 of yearbook/53 of PDF) and a member of the band (pg 89 of yearbook/93 of PDF). So I think the jacket is probably his, which would date it between 1958-1960. Mr. Rust died in a car accident in 1970.
