A collaboration project between HELLY HANSEN and the Japanese fashion brand Mina Perhonen, born from Designer Akira Minagawa.

In order to leave a world that will never change for generations to come, materials made from recycled PET bottles, called recycled polyester, were used to prevent marine pollution and soil contamination. Designer Keiko Tanaka from Mina Perhonen created the uki hana design motif inspired by flowers.

The hoodie-style rash guard is equipped with UV protection (UPF50+, blocking over 95% of UV rays), making it suitable for long hours of activity under strong sunlight and useful for sun protection. The loose silhouette makes it easy to put on over swimwear, and it is designed to be comfortable to wear with its stretchiness, lightweight, and quick-drying properties of 100% polyester material. It dries quickly even when wet, providing a comfortable feeling with less stickiness after coming out of the water, and it is also resistant to seawater and chlorine, making it suitable for wearing at the beach or pool.

The front features easy-to-remove dot buttons, side slits for ease of movement, and a design that covers the hood and back of the hands, providing UV protection for the head and hands. Due to its natural texture, it blends well with urban wear.
