CW-188/GR padded canvas backpack bag (part of MX-898/GR military radio set)

This military backpack is labeled CW-188/GR inside the lid.  Outside dimensions: 10 deep, 12 wide, 15 high.  It would have been one component of a military kit that allowed vehicle radios to be removed and used in the field with a battery or generator (search for MX-898/GR online for more information).  It appears to be constructed of two layers of canvas with padding between them — so the bag, while flexible, has a bit more rigidity than a bag made of a single layer of canvas.  The four snaps that hold the lid closed, work; and all the buckles that adjust strap lengths, seem to be fine as well.  The waterproofing on the outer layer of canvas is scuffed, but should still keep the interior of the bag dry if you use it in the rain.  The bag has a distinctive odor that might be from the waterproof coating, but I don’t see any signs that the coating is sticky or peeling or otherwise noticeably deteriorating.
