This very vintage mens Bulova is from 1957, and being 67 years old, not only does not show its age, it can be confused with a present day timepiece. Made during a time when Swiss and American watches reigned supreme, this Bulova retains the beauty it had in 1957. The case is gold filled, which is far superior to the electroplating used today, being actual sandwiched gold plates over a brass core. The movement is model 11ACAC which is a gilted alloy with 17 jewels along with manual and automatic winding. It also features a center sweep second hand. The dial is a radiant sunburst type silver lacquer with gold accents and looks like new. It was serviced less than 2 years ago and is all original except an oversized crown,(often installed when purchased new for easier winding) as well as a new correct crystal. The band by Spiedel is period correct, made by Spiedel, USA made, with gold filled caps. It fits me snuggly and I have a 8 1/4 wrist. Questions are welcomed.
